Hello! My name is Gabrielle Smith, I'm a photographer based in Windsor, Ontario. I love theatre, board games, tall trees and my cat Phoebe.
I love capturing people, love, and weddings! I take a lot of pride in making art for people, and capturing some of their most special moments. I especially love the unique ways people choose to make their wedding celebrations their own, and am always a big cheerleader for personal touches, and departures from any part of a traditional wedding that you, frankly, just don't care for.
I graduated from Loyalist College’s Photojournalism program in 2015, and had a small stint as a working photojournalist - I've been published in The Toronto Star, The Globe and Mail, and more. I dabbled in all kinds of photography, trying to find my perfect fit - eventually falling in love with wedding photography in 2019. Since then, I have been growing my craft alongside other talented photographers, and establishing Gabrielle Smith Photo in 2024.
I've loved art and photography as long as I can remember, going back to taking pictures of flowers in the yard with my waterproof digital camera (hall-of-fame works, to be sure), or pictures of my friends at rehearsals for our youth theatre shows (the coveted ticket of the season circa 2008). Getting to work as a wedding photographer combines two of my favourite things - art and people.
